Vernons Bingo Review Play Online Now

If you’d been wondering what happened to Littlewoods Bingo (sure you were!), the answer is it didn’t disappear entirely – it was simply reborn as Vernons Bingo. Given the fact that its predecessor was extremely successful and quite massively popular, you quite understandably expect the same the second time around. Part of the famed Virtue Fusion Network, Vernons Bingo certainly seems to have a pretty strong reputation when it comes to handing out generous prizes. And not always in the form of cash, either, but with so much having changed since 2012 when it first went live, how does this Vernons Bingo review compare it with rivals of today? Read on for the full inside scoop from Casino Papa!

You genuinely wouldn’t have a clue that the Vernons Bingo once had anything to do with Littlewoods whatsoever. Any echoes of its former incarnation have been well and truly wiped out of the equation, with Vernons Bingo itself having been given quite a few makeovers in the interim. Which to be perfectly honest is something that we are quite happy about, personal opinion as it may be.

    Site Summary
First of all, we personally have to give big kudos to the design team behind Vernons Bingo for finally getting rid of the somewhat over-the-top bright green theme the site once had. Not only this, but we really also couldn’t be doing with the pug named Stan, which was previously the mascot at Vernons Bingo and was summarily smothered all over every single page across the board. Some people buy into this cutesy stuff – on this occasion, we didn’t!

But it’s all changed now and the new minimalist layout with a predominantly purple theme is much easier on the eyes. The navigation system is gorgeously simple and they’ve made enormous efforts to move away from the superfluous, in order to focus on the bingo itself.

So onto the bingo served up at Vernons, they’ve definitely gone to town when it comes to winning over new players. Aside from the welcome bonus (which we’ll get to shortly), newcomers are also offered an entire month’s worth of playing free bingo. Which sounds extremely generous on paper, but in reality is actually provided in the form of 2 hours of free bingo each week for the first month.  And in order to qualify for these free online bingo games which take place each Tuesday, you need to first wager and minimum of £5 of your own money. Not bad, but could be better.

The bingo schedule itself was impressively busy during our tests, including those carried out during off peak hours. There was an absolute ton of action taking place across 90 ball, 80 ball, 75 ball, and 75 ball pattern bingo types alike, accompanied by the ‘Joker Jackpot’ which at the time had an impressive top prize of over £30,000 to play for. As is the case with most of the top online bingo sites these days, signing up with Vernons Bingo also provides access to the brand’s Casino, Sports and Games areas too. All of which seemed more than worth checking out in our own tests – the Casino in particular scoring big points with us.

As always, we put the 24/7 customer support team to the test in a big way when playing Vernons Bingo online and can only say we were delighted with the results. Quick response times, confident answers and friendly service – all boxes ticked. The mobile app also got the job done nicely, tested across Android and iOS devices alike.

As for a couple of slight bug-bears we weren’t won over by, there was a certain sluggishness about the navigation of the site that wasn’t exactly a thrill ride. On top of this, at the time of our tests we found that the entire ‘Promotions’ Page was out of commission, with all links just leading to blank pages with no info. Last but not least, while we know withdrawal times of up to 5 days aren’t the end of the world, we prefer things a little faster. And if you want to withdraw less than £10, they charge you £1.50, which is a little cheeky.

    Best Features
We like any bingo site that makes it easy to dive straight into the action – Vernons Bingo site does exactly that. We also like a wide range of bingo types and busy bingo rooms at all times – Vernons Bingo rooms ticks those boxes as well.

Bringing it all together, it’s a bit difficult to know where to place Vernons Bingo in the rankings. The reason being that while it gets the job done, it doesn’t really have many (or any) standout features that take it above and beyond its rivals. There’s nothing strictly wrong with it and it’s worth checking out…just don’t expect to be blown away.
