Sin SpinsReview

Another brand new 2016 casino site courtesy of the folks at ProgressPlay Limited, Sin Spins is looking to bring out the devil in you. Well, not literally of course, but more in a somewhat cheerful and cheeky way. ProgressPlay is one of the industry’s most established and successful veterans, though to put out a new casino at such a late stage with such heavy competition is brave, even for the best. And so far, the customer reviews with regard to what is on offer at Sin Spins have been pretty mixed. So which is it – heaven or hell? Read on for the full lowdown from Casino Papa!

If you know Casino Papa, you’ll know that we are never particularly won over by casino sites that are in every respect carbon copies of sites that already exist.  Quite to the contrary in fact, we salute almost anything that is new, fresh and hasn’t already been done to death. In the case of Sin Spins, first impressions would seem to suggest that to a certain extent at least, it’s a case of the former.  Nevertheless, it can at least help that despite the fact that it is almost exactly the same as other ProgressPlay assets, it is at least done well. So…is it?

Site Summary

Well, first of all it has to be said that we do in fact like the devilish theme of the site in general. It’s chirpy, cheerful and very slightly cheeky, while at the same time strategically avoiding crossing the barrier into cheesy. The characters are amusing enough, the colour scheme is easy on the eyes and the overall layout of the site gets the job done pretty well. You’d be forgiven for calling it a little generic in terms of its overall construction, but it is at least presented relatively well. That being said, performance wasn’t necessarily the best we’ve come across during our tests, but we are always happy to consider the fact that this may have been a limited-time hiccup. Still, it wasn’t the smoothest or slickest experience for us.

If you make your online casino decisions on the back of the bonuses on offer, Sin Spins certainly comes across as generous. As is the case with so many casino sites up and running these days, new customers are offered a welcome bonus worth 100% on top of their initial deposit, up to a maximum value of £200. Which basically means that if you pay £200 into your account, you get £400 to play with. Generous enough, until you consider the fact that wagering requirements come in at a whopping 50X. Which means that if you do make the decision to go with this maximum bonus, you will need to wager no less than £20,000 before being able to access any winnings from the bonus.

They also offer 25 free Starburst spins for new customers – again with the same heavy wagering requirements. Still, we have to give them credit for at least making it very clear that 50X wagering requirements apply right there on the homepage, as opposed to hiding them as so many do.

In terms of on-going bonuses, there’s a Weekly Surprise every Tuesday which pays out random bonuses, there’s a Spin the Slots promo to earn free spins, Cashback Day pays out a 10% bonus on deposits and so on and so forth. So there are certainly plenty of promotions and special deals to get your teeth into, but as they are all subject to the same 50X wagering requirements, none come particularly highly recommended.

There’s also a VIP program that’s almost interesting…almost being the key word.  The problem being that it is relatively difficult to climb the ladder to such a position where you would see any real benefit. You get one VIP point for every £16 you spend and you’ll need at least a thousand to see anything of interest happen. As in £16,000 worth of points. And if you want to reach the highest level, how about £160,000 in loyalty points? They state that this top level means perks like the anniversary bonuses, personalised gifts, dedicated account management, birthday surprises and so on, though don’t go to any more detail whatsoever about exactly what to expect. Which is a bit rich, when considering the fact that you are expecting customers to hand over £160,000 to reach such a level.

The live casino on offer is relatively good and we found no problems with the mobile app. Sin Spins uses an extensive array of software providers for maximum variety and quality, including Microgaming, ELK Studios, Quickspin, Leander Gaming, NYX,NextGen Gaming, 1X2 Gaming, BigTimeGaming, Cryptologic and NetEnt. The customer service team is available 24/7 via live chat, but sadly there is no contact telephone number available. Last but not least, we weren’t particularly won over by the prospect of a 72-hour ‘pending’ period on all withdrawals, before they’re actually put into action and the process started. Long story short…too slow.

Best Features

If you are primarily looking for slots, there’s no denying that the collection available at Sin Spins is genuinely impressive. And as already mentioned, we can’t say we didn’t like the theme of the site as a whole, which we found to be both attractive and enjoyable above and beyond quite a few rivals.

Putting all the pieces together, Sin Spins has the makings of a pretty fantastic casino site, though currently lets itself down in a few too many areas. The wagering requirements on the welcome bonus are far too high, the VIP program isn’t likely to be of interest to anyone and the lack of a customer service telephone number is disappointing. It’s not that Sin Spins is a terrible online casino – it’s just that there are far better options out there.

  • 50X wagering requirements are way too excessive
  • No customer service telephone number
  • The site as a whole does not perform particularly brilliantly
  • Unnecessarily slow withdrawal times
  • Vague VIP terms and steep requirements

  • A fun and enjoyable theme
  • Plenty of slots from a variety of leading developers
  • A solid mobile experience across most devices
  • 24-hour customer care
